First Day of College

So yesterday was my first day of college. Yikes. When did this happen? On top of that, my birthday is on the 28th! Whaaaaaa? Did I miss something important? When did I "officially" become an adult? I'm so confused right now.
:/

Anywhooo.
Here's something awesome from the awesome Clare of Sisters Grimm!

The priest of our little parish used to say, "Are you going to be the first saint from [...this town]? Are we someday going to be celebrating your feast day?" He reminded us every Sunday that we are all called to be saints.
Father M. has moved away now, and the new priest Father W. is no less awesome, but I will never forget that stunningly simple thought.
Will you be saint YOUR NAME HERE of YOUR TOWN HERE?
Silly sounding, yes, but amazing all the same.
Will you?

Final Craft Compilation

Final fair post.  I've assembled the rest of my fair crafts here.
Some I may have already posted in the past, but here they are anyway.

First off, a wallet made of felt scraps and liquid stitch.

Four digital art pieces.

A large 2x3 foot acrylic painting.

A book page bracelet based off the Chronicles of Narnia.

And my baby "Sock-tapus"

So that's everything. Hope you've all enjoyed them!

Last note: I'm planning on making another book page bracelet to sell in my Etsy shop, so keep an eye out for it!

Concerning OCTMS

O.C.T.M.S.
noun.
1.  an album formally titled "The Midsummer Station",  composed primarily of electronic music, to be released in late August of the year 2012.

2.  something that the blogger has been looking forward to for nearly one half of a year.

So the Midsummer Station previews were finally released to iTunes.
Being the Owl Citizen that I am, I rush in to listen.
Then..
I...
Find...
THIS.

NO.

(I mean seriously, "her love is a drug laced with ecstasy, hot mess in that dress gets the best of me-"?! What in Niflheim is this?!)

Craft: Pottery Whales

Craft #6

Hey everybody! Sorry for the wait.
So for my craft today I have some of the most adorable little smudgie muffins you will ever see. I mean really, just look at their squidgy wittle faces! Have you ever ever ever seen a fuzzymudgecake as coodgely as these bumbledumplings?! They're just so wublydubly and-um....

Let's just forget you ever heard that...

Anyway... So yeah.

Pottery whales.
They're kinda cute and stuff.

They're made entirely of clay, glazed with an opaque kind of glaze called sapphire (I think), and they took FOREVER and a day to make! The process included several near-heart-attack-inducing slip ups, including breaking one of the fins off while working on the other one, and splashing red glaze on the tail of the littler one. Of course, I just had to stress over the details for a week or so while we waited for the drying and firing, but in the end they turned out cute as buttons and not a trace of red on them!

And the best part?
This.
